First, let's understand what an anti-theft system is?
Zui was first used in European and American countries, and it should have entered China in the 1990s when supermarkets and warehouse style shopping malls were just starting to take off. Appearing in some big cities in China, it has also changed the traditional shopping mode. Previously, products were displayed at the counter, and customers would ask the salesperson to take out the product they liked. Once there were more customers, the salesperson would be overwhelmed. It is both troublesome and a waste of manpower. Therefore, when self selected supermarkets and warehouse malls appeared, they were greatly welcomed by the general public for their more humane and convenient sales methods. Customers can freely choose their favorite products and have a more direct understanding of them, without having to stare impatiently at the salesperson. This greatly facilitates customers and creates a more relaxed and enjoyable shopping environment. However, in this way, while it is convenient for customers, it also greatly facilitates another group of people: thieves who are listed as the least popular in shopping malls. Especially in winter, wearing a coat or pretending to be a pregnant woman, stealing things is like digging out your pockets, it's too convenient.
When EAS first entered China, not many supermarket owners knew or recognized it, so few people used it. However, today, almost everyone who runs a shopping mall knows about it, and those bosses and managers also realize the role and benefits of EAS.
Anti theft methods
Later on, EAS (Electronic Article Surveillance System) emerged, which has several characteristics compared to traditional man to man and surveillance:
1. From surface monitoring to point monitoring, the usual anti-theft methods are effective within a certain range, monitoring the surface of a certain area. EAS, on the other hand, attaches tags to products to give them self-defense and anti-theft functions.
2. Reduced personnel allocation for person to person monitoring, while also providing customers with a relaxed shopping environment.
3. Its powerful psychological deterrent effect can deter thieves outside the door, thereby achieving the goal of preventing damage.
